Uploading the files with FTP might be useful for you if you want to set up an import on a scheduled basis.

Any FTP client should be able to connect, but we recommend either FileZilla or WinSCP.

When setting up your connection for the FTP server you will need the following information:

With Encryption

FTP Host (FTP Server): 35.162.163.158

Use protocol: FTP

Encryption:  TLS/SSL Implicit Encryption

Port Number:  990

Without Encryption

FTP Host (FTP Server): 35.167.228.62

Use Protocol:  FTP

Port:  21
Encryption: None

For the username, you should use your PTC Wizard subdomain (Note:  do not use your PTC Wizard administrative username unless it is the same as your PTC Wizard subdomain).

For the password, you should use the administrative password you use when logging into your school site.

Once you log in, you just need to upload your csv files.

The order in which you upload the files does not matter.

Unlike uploading through the school administrative site, uploading through the FTP server does not immediately process the files.

Files uploaded to the FTP server are processed on a scheduled basis, every 15 minutes.  So if you upload your files at 9:05am, then they will be processed at 9:15am.

It is not a good idea to upload files too close to the processing time.  This might result in files being processed before they are finished uploading.

CSV File formats:

You can upload the following CSV files:

parent-0000.csv

teacher-0000.csv

student-0000.csv

team-0000.csv

relationship-0000.csv

enrollment-0000.csv

team_enrollment-0000.csv

Replace 0000 with the number for your actual school id.  You can also see the exact file names to upload by visiting the school administrative site and going to Settings/Integration

Attached are the templates for each CSV file. Here you can find more information regarding the CSV files.
