PTC Wizard offers different options for integration and data uploading. 


1) Standalone. With this option, you will only need to upload a teacher list in a CSV file. Parents will have to register with PTC Wizard and add their children themselves. You can find more information on this integration type along with the teacher file template here.


2) CSV integration. This option requires uploading 5 files: parent, student, and teacher information + student/parent relationship and enrollment. You would need to make all edits in these files and then re-upload them. More on CSV integration here.


3) External SIS data integration. We work with such SIS's as Blackbaud SKY API, Infinite Campus, eSchoolPlus+by PowerSchool (former SunGard), Finalsite, SeniorSystems/MyBackpack and others. More on external SIS integration here and below.


  • Blackbaud SKY APY
    • This is a full integration.  
    • We provide a Sync tool that can pull the data necessary directly from the Blackbaud API.  
    • This integration also supports a Single-Signin using the Blackbaud SJY API MySchoolApp portal.
  • SeniorSystem/MyBackpack
    • This is a partial integration.
    • Data is imported using CSV files.
    • Authentication is handled by MyBackpack. The parents enter their MyBackpack username/password into their PTC Wizard login page, and we send that information to SeniorSystems/MyBackpack for authentication. The passwords are never saved in our system. This is not a full SSO (Single Signin) because the user still needs to enter a username and password.
    • Hopefully in the future we will add a sync tool similar to Blackbaud.
  • InfiniteCampus
    • This is a partial integration
    • Data is imported using CSV files.
    • Authentication is handled by InfiniteCampus. The parents enter their InfiniteCampus username/password into their PTC Wizard login page, and we send that information to InfiniteCampus for authentication. The passwords are never saved in our system. This is not a full SSO (Single Signin) because the user still needs to enter a username and password.
    • Infinite Campus is sold through regional support companies that can customize their installation.  They can implement a full SSO link from the Infinite Campus portal if the school pays them to do it.
  • FinalSite
    • This is a full integration
    • Data is imported using CSV files
    • FinalSite uses the PTC Wizard SSO implementation to send users signed into FinalSite directly into PTC Wizard.
  • Sungard eSchoolPlus by PowerSchool
    • This is a full integration
    • Data is imported using CSV files.
    • eSchoolPlus has a feature called Dynamic Links which allows the parent to click a link from Home Access Center (known as HAC) and automatically sign into PTC Wizard. The same is true for teacher using Teacher Access Center (known as TAC).
    • eSchoolPlus was purchased by PowerSchool but it is not the same product as PowerSchool.
  • Any other SIS
    • For any other SIS the school can use the CSV files for data import. The username/password for the parents and teachers must be provided in the CSV files.
    • If the school wants to do a SSO with PTC Wizard, they can implement our SSO using our documentation.
  • Google for Teachers
    • This is a standard CSV data import but the teacher login page goes straight to Google to handle the authentication.
